dist0 is a Marketing OS for early-stage brands — a single platform for AI-search-era marketing. SaaS founders, ecommerce teams, and local services use the same opinionated playbook to fix weak landing pages, earn brand mentions across Reddit and directories, and publish the few pages that actually convert. Built for teams that can’t out-publish the incumbents.

03 · positioning

You can’t out-publish the incumbents

the enemy

The old playbook needs authority you don't have.

AI search engines tend to quote from a small set of trusted sites — roughly 30 per topic (Indig 2026). If your site is new, another long-tail blog post does not buy you a seat at that table. It just adds to the pile. Small teams need a different starting move.

the trap

Keyword tools point you at fights you can't win.

When you target a keyword, you’re targeting a search result already owned by companies with 10× your authority. Meanwhile, 65–85% of ChatGPT prompts do not show up in Semrush — the real demand is in Reddit threads, support tickets, customer-call transcripts, and unanswered community questions. Going there gives small teams a better place to start. That’s where dist0 starts.

the move

Brand presence is the small-team game; backlinks are the enterprise game.

Big brands win on backlink networks nobody else can build. Small brands win on web mentions, directory listings, founder LinkedIn presence, podcast guest spots, and useful answers in public communities — work a small team can actually do. That work also appears to matter for AI search: branded mentions correlate at 0.66–0.71 with AI Overview inclusion, vs. ~0.2 for backlinks. dist0’s pipeline turns that into a sequence of moves your team can run.

05 · about

Why I’m building this

I’m [Founder Name], based in Oakland, CA. I built this because I kept seeing founders spend 6 months publishing articles that were never going to rank. There had to be a less wasteful starting point. dist0 is that starting point: an opinionated playbook, then the pipeline of tools that runs it.
