Install the dist0 agent skill

Install the dist0 skill once and a coding agent like Claude Code knows how to read your buyer pains, share-of-voice, and briefs — no prompting, no setup each time.

The dist0 agent skill teaches a coding agent — Claude Code, and other tools that read the same skill format — how to pull your signals on its own. Install it once and you can say "list this week's pains" or "draft a reply to this one" without explaining where the data lives or how to fetch it. The skill knows.

Before you install: connect dist0

The skill reads everything through the dist0 MCP server — and only that. Connect dist0 to your agent first; the skill uses that connection. If it isn't connected, the skill stops and tells you to connect it rather than guessing.

Follow Read your signals in an AI agent to connect — in a coding agent, add https://dist0.com/api/mcp as an MCP server and sign in with your dist0 API key. The MCP server reference has the full details.

Install it in Claude Code

Add our skill marketplace, then install the skill:

/plugin marketplace add dist0com/skills
/plugin install dist0@dist0

That's it. From then on, just ask Claude about your signals — it reaches for the skill on its own. To run it by name:

/dist0:buyer-signals

Use it

Ask in plain language and the skill does the rest:

  • "What are my top buyer pains this week?"
  • "Show me the Reddit posts behind this pain."
  • "Draft a reply to each new pain, based only on what the posters actually said."

If you run more than one dist0 project, name the one you mean and the skill reads that one.

Other coding agents

For a coding agent without a plugin marketplace, copy the skill folder into the agent's skills directory — the folder is public in our skill repo. The same skill file works across agents with no changes.
